Top Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Central America, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications in Central America showed varied trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced fluctuations in downloads and active users across the unified platform of iOS and Android.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 129K in mid-June. Its weekly active users ranged from approximately 7M to 7.7M, showing a robust user base throughout the quarter.

Google Maps also demonstrated significant activity, with downloads reaching a high of about 126K in early June. The application saw active users fluctuate between 58.3M and 60M, indicating a stable usage pattern.

For Google Earth, weekly downloads varied, with a notable increase to 36K in mid-June. Active users hovered around 450K to 538K, reflecting steady engagement.

Tu Tag PASE experienced a peak in downloads at about 26K in late June, while active users showed a gradual increase from 308K to over 366K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer saw downloads reaching up to 12K in March, with active users ranging between 23K and 30K, indicating modest but consistent engagement.
